Mark has amassed over 38 years of experience in both private and public accounting, with a primary focus on tax-related issues. He has been instrumental in assisting our clients to navigate their financial management challenges, especially those arising due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Mark’s expertise includes providing crucial financial and tax guidance, as well as helping clients understand and benefit from complex programs like PPP loans and employee retention credits. His primary business concentrations encompass sectors such as construction, timber, manufacturing, and medical practices.

For the past 18 years, Mark has held the title of Certified Valuation Analyst, boasting an in-depth understanding of the industry standards for assessing the monetary value of assets, liabilities, and the net worth of both businesses and individuals. His proficiency in determining net worth—after accounting for payables, receivables, and incorporating market analyses and projections—renders him invaluable to clients. This expertise proves pivotal as he aids them in endeavors ranging from succession planning and operational expansion to mergers and spin-offs.

Mark graduated from Mississippi State University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants. Additionally, Mark’s dedication to his profession is evident in his service as a chapter President for the North Central Chapter of the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mark and his wife, Resa, have four children and six grandchildren. They enjoy traveling, spending time with family, and watching their grandchildren play tennis, basketball, baseball, and soccer.
